TFX third year midfielder Max Bodurtha was drafted by the Halifax Wanderers in today’s 2024 Canadian Premier League-U SPORTS Draft, presented by Degree.

A trio of X-Men Soccer athletes received recognition at the U SPORTS level at the championship banquet. Kyle Cordeiro was honoured as a 1st team all-Canadian, Logan Rieck is a 2nd team all-Canadian, and Isaac VanWychen was named to the U SPORTS all-rookie team.

The No. 2 seeded STFX X-Men will play the No. 7 seeded UBC Thunderbirds in the U SPORTS quarterfinal game on Thursday at 1:30 pm in Sydney, NS.

The X-Men Soccer team claimed three major AUS awards this week including Kyle Cordeiro as MVP, Isaac VanWychen as Rookie of the Year and Graham Kennedy as Coach of the Year. Cordeiro was also named an AUS first team all-star, along with Logan Rieck and Max Bodurtha. Luke Green and Dyan Vil were second team all-stars.

The UNB REDS dropped their final game of the Atlantic University Sport regular season, 3-0 to the STFX X-Men on Saturday.

Both the X-Women and X-Men teams have secured first round playoff byes and will play in their respective semifiinal games on Friday, October 27th. The first place STFX X-Women will play the winner of Memorial-Dalhousie Friday at 11:00 am, while the second place X-Men will play the winner of DAL-UNB Friday at 8:00 pm.
The U SPORTS No. 9 ranked STFX X-Men defeated the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleus 3-0 Friday night in AUS action.
The U SPORTS No. 9 ranked STFX X-Men soccer team won their final home game of the season with a 3-1 victory over the Memorial Sea-Hawks Sunday afternoon. It was the seventh win on the year for the X-Men, who have clinched a spot in the AUS playoffs.
The STFX X-Men completed a six-point weekend, thanks in part to a 4-0 victory over the UPEI Panthers Saturday night at STFX Stadium.
The STFX X-Men had a big home win on Friday night, dropping the Mount Allison Mounties 6-1 on a chilly evening at STFX Stadium.

The STFX X-Men improved to 3-2-0 on the season with a 5-0 shutout victory over the Mount Allison Mounties Friday night.

In between matches last Sunday, the STFX Soccer program was honoured to celebrate the life and legacy of our coach and friend, Patrick Rutayisire, who passed away this May after a difficult battle with cancer.
The U SPORTS No. 10 ranked STFX X-Men picked up their second win of the season with a 2-1 victory over the Saint Mary’s Huskies Sunday afternoon at STFX Stadium.

In a battle of top U SPORTS programs, the third-ranked Cape Breton University (CBU) Capers (3-0-0) scored a hard-fought 3-1 victory over the 10th-ranked STFX X-Men (2-1-0) in AUS soccer action on Saturday afternoon at Ness Timmons Field.
