The X-Men Soccer team played in three pre-season exhibition games to get tuned up for the upcoming AUS season.
On Friday, Aug. 18th the blue and white travelled to Charlottetown to take on the UPEI Panthers and played to a 5-1 victory. X-Men goals were scored by Blake Fenton, Charlie Waters, Cameron Shaw, Logan Rieck, Isaac Vanwychen.
The X-Men then played a pair of games in non-conference action in Ottawa against Carleton University and St. Lawrence College.
On August 23rd, STFX lost a close 4-3 match to Carleton. X-Men goals came from Waters, Rieck and Myroslav Zastavnyy.
They followed up with as 3-1 win over St. Lawrence on August 25th as goals were scored by Dyan Vil, Max Cameron and Nicholas Goldsztein.
The X-Men open up AUS regular season play this coming weekend, September 2-3 when they host UNB on Saturday and Moncton on Sunday. Game time for both matches is 3:15 pm at STFX Stadium.
