X-Men Basketball forward Bennett Grumbach was named STFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 19, 2023. Bennett, a third year Arts student from Toronto, ON had a record-setting game in Tuesday’s 116-70 win over Acadia. His 10 three-pointers set a STFX single game record and tied for second overall in the AUS record book. Bennett scored a game-high 35 points and added 5 rebounds, an assist and 2 steals as he earned player of the game honours. In Saturday’s 93-82 win over SMU, he scored 8 points and had 8 rebounds. Bennett averages 7.8 PPG for the X-Men this season.
