St.John's, NL - The U SPORTS No. 6 ranked STFX X-Men defeated the Memorial Sea-Hawks 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at King George V stadium in Atlantic University Sport (AUS) men's soccer action.   

The X-Men avenged a 2-1 loss to the same Sea-Hawks squad yesterday, coming away with a weekend split of games.

Felly Elonda opened the scoring for the home team Sea-Hawks midway through the first half, scoring his second of the season.

STFX's Samuel Barrowcliffe (Princeton, ON) answered with a game tying goal in the 42^nd minute. The X-Men followed with another shortly after from Logan Rieck (Cambridge, ON) right at the end of the half to put them up 2-1 going into the half time break.

X-Men midfielder Rieck added a second goal in the 67^th minute to put the visitors up 3-1 and close out the victory.

STFX midfielder Max Bodurtha (Halifax, NS) received Subway Player of the Game honours for his outstanding efforts in the game.

The X-Men (5-1-0) will be back in action on Thursday, October 6^th at 7pm in Sydney, NS facing the Cape Breton Capers, while the Memorial Seahawks will enjoy the Thanksgiving break and will be on the road again October 15^th to play the UNB Reds.
