X-Men basketball welcomes Antigonish native Dondre Reddick

Antigonish, NS— StFX X-Men basketball head coach Steve Konchalski is pleased to welcome Antigonish, N.S. native Dondre Reddick to the X-Men program for the 2019-20 season.

Dondre is a 6'3" guard who most recently played at GTA Prep, an international basketball academy in Brampton, Ont. In the 2017-18 season he helped lead the team to the national championship game of the National Preparatory Association, averaging 12 PPG for the season. This past year he was averaging 18 PPG before being sidelined with an injury. Dondre has also represented Nova Scotia on U14, U15 and U16 provincial teams.

Coach Konchalski comments, "I am extremely excited to have Dondre join the X-Men. I have watched him develop from a young basketball camper into an elite player who has the potential to have an immediate impact on our program. I am proud to have a product of our local minor basketball system wear the Blue and White."

Dondre follows in the footsteps of his StFX alumni relatives - StFX Sports Hall of Fame members uncle Trevor Reddick (soccer/wrestling) and his spouse Theresa MacCuish (basketball). Dondre's aunt Syna Reddick also played basketball at StFX. Dondre is enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program at StFX University for the fall.
