X-Men Win, Salute Seniors
On a night where the X-faithful gave thanks for all the hard work their senior members put in on the floor throughout their tenure as an Xaverian, the CIS No. 7 StFX X-Men stole the show as a team, knocking off the Acadia Axemen 100-51.

After a somewhat close 18-11 first quarter lead for the X-Men, the Acadian Axemen had no defence for the blue and white attack as X blew the doors open and won the second quarter 31-9 giving them a 48-20 lead at the half.

The X-Men took everything almost doubled the Axemen halftime score in the second quarter and holding them to 21 percent shooting in the first half. 

StFX forced Acadia into 35 turnovers.

The second half showed no letdown for X as they came out and built on their first half lead, eventually doubling Acadia for most of the third and fourth quarter en route to a 100-51 victory, one point shy of a 50-point victory.

Fifth year senior Christian Upshaw lead all scorers with 21 points while the sharp shooting Charlie Spurr chipped in with 16. Sophomore guard Jordan Clarke had another big game for the X-Men finishing with 14 points and eight rebounds.

On the other side of the ball, the Acadia attack was lead by Owen Klassen’s 14 points while Anthony Sears added 11.

The X-Men gave thanks to their seniors Charlie Spurr, Dwayne Johnson, Christian Upshaw, Will Silver, Alberto Rodriguez and Chad Warren with some nice words by Coach K. The six men who were applauded and given thanks by the fans have provided X with nothing but excitement during their tenure with the blue and white.

X-Men next see action this Saturday and Sunday on the road to Memorial.
