The CIS ranked #4 X-Men basketball team easily handled the UNB Varsity Reds Saturday afternoon at the StFX Oland Centre en route to a 97-71 win.

Tyler Richards led the StFX attack with 21 points and also had 4 assists and 3 steals. T-Bear Upshaw scored 17 points and Dwayne Johnson tallied 12 in a game which saw every X-Men hit the score sheet for at least one point.

The X-Men bench was able to see some second half action as the X-Men established a commanding 45-25 lead at half-time.

Sean Nickel, Will Donkoh and Alberto Rodriguez all scored 9 point each and Terrance Taylor scored 8 points and had 7 rebounds.

Four Varsity Reds players were in double scoring figures as Lonzel Lowe scored 17 points, Antwann Parks had 16, Dustin Anthony scored 14 and Alex DesRoches had 10.

With the win, the X-Men improve to 11-2 atop the AUS standings.  Their next game will take place in Wolfville against the Acadia Axemen next Friday, Feb. 6.
