2025 AUS football schedule released
Atlantic University Sport releases 2025 football schedule
(HALIFAX, N.S.) Atlantic University Sport released the 2025 football schedule today.
Each of the conference's five teams will play eight regular season games over the course of a 10-week schedule.
The regular season will once again kick off in August, with opening day set for Friday, August 22 when the Saint Mary's Huskies will play host to the Acadia Axemen in a 7 p.m. game.
The defending champion Bishop's Gaiters will open their season on the road Saturday, August 23 with a 3 p.m. ADT game at Mount Allison. They will host their own home opener Saturday, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. EDT versus the STFX X-Men.
The five Homecoming games are as follows:
- Mount Allison Mounties: Saturday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. versus Acadia
- Bishop's Gaiters: Saturday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. EDT versus Mount Allison
- STFX X-Men: Friday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. versus Acadia
- Saint Mary's Huskies: Friday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. versus Mount Allison
- Acadia Axemen: Saturday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. versus Mount Allison
Regular season play will wrap up Saturday, Oct. 25.
AUS playoffs are set to begin the following weekend when the first-place team hosts the fourth-seeded team, while the second-place team hosts the third-seeded team Saturday, Nov. 1 in the playoff semifinals.
The winners will advance to the 2025 Bell AUS Loney Bowl which will be played Saturday, Nov. 8 and hosted by the top-seeded team.
The AUS champion will then move on to host the RSEQ conference champion in the 2025 U SPORTS Uteck Bowl Saturday, Nov. 15.
The Uteck Bowl and Mitchell Bowl winners will advance to play each other in the 60th Vanier Cup on Saturday, Nov. 22. The 2025 national championship game will be hosted at Mosaic Stadium in Regina Sask.
