"We are all very proud of Ben Hadley for earning this opportunity with the Saskatchewan Roughriders,: comments X-Men Fotball head coach Gary Waterman. "He has had a tremendous university career, and it is nice to see that all of his hard work is paying off."
Hadley (6'2-190) is a fifth year Business student from Halifax, N.S. who is coming off a stellar senior campaign that saw him named a U SPORTS first team All-Canadian for the second consecutive season.
A three-time AUS special teams all-star, Ben was the X-Men special teams player of the year for the past two seasons. His 2024 season saw him connect on 25 of 29 field goals he attempted (86%), including a career long 55 yarder, and went 21 of 21 on PATs scoring a total of 96 points for the X-Men. His 25 field goals were the most in U SPORTS and he set a school record by kicking the longest field goal in SFX history (and second longest in the AUS) at 55 yards.
He also broke the STFX career field goal record with 61 over his four seasons with the white and blue. His 61 FGs also places him third overall in the AUS conference career record book. Ben suited up for 30 games from 2021-2024 and kicked 61 of 74 field goals for a collegiate career 82% average and 254 points.
