Pita Pit X-Men Football Offensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men quarterback Silas Fagnan was named the STFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 15, 2023. Silas, a 5th year Human Kinetics student (3rd year eligibility) from Bonnyville, AB was 18-30 for 301 passing yards in the X-Men's 52-9 win over Mount Allison on Saturday, helping the U SPORTS No. 5 ranked X-Men improve to 7-0 atop the AUS standings. Silas threw four touchdown passes from 84, 32, 1 and 6 yards out, and also had 3 rushes for 25 yards in the game. He currently leads the AUS in passing, averaging 246.1 yards/game, and leads the conference in completions and attempts (119-199), total yards (1723) and pass efficiency (149.1). 

Pita Pit X-Men Football Defensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men defensive lineman Alex Fedchun was named the STFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 15, 2023. Alex, a fifth year Arts student from Calgary, AB had 4.5 tackles (including 4 solo tackles) for the X-Men Saturday in their 52-7 win over Mount Allison. Alex also had a sack for a loss of 2 yards, a fumble recovery and a break-up as the AUS first place X-Men improved to 7-0 on the season. He is currently 10th in AUS tackling with 27.0 on the season, and leads the conference in sacks with 5.5.  

Pita Pit X-Men Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week
X-Men kicker/punter Ben Hadley was named the STFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 15, 2023. Ben, a fourth year Business student from Halifax, NS scored 16 points in the X-Men's 52-7 win over Mount A Saturday, kicking 2 field goals, 6 extra points and 4 rouges. Ben kicked 2 field goals, both from 32 yards out, and also had 6 kick-offs in the game for 400 yards, averaging 66.7 yards/kick. He currently leads the AUS in FG kicking at 81% and also leads the conference in scoring with 109 points on the season, averaging 15.6 points/game for the U SPORTS No. 5 ranked and undefeated 7-0 AUS first place X-Men.
