Pita Pit X-Men Football Offensive Player of the Week
X-Men quarterback Silas Fagnan was named the STFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 30, 2023. Silas, a 5th year Human Kinetics student (3rd year eligibility) from Bonnyville, AB scored two rushing touchdowns and threw another in STFX's exciting 34-31 overtime win at Bishop's Friday night. He threw a 37-yard TD pass in the 1st quarter, and scored on one-yard and two-yard rushing plays. His latter TD came midway through the 4th quarter and his ensuing two-point conversion pass tied the game at 25-25. Silas was 21-28 for 267 passing yards in the game and he rushed 4 times for 18 yards. He is currently second in AUS passing, averaging 214.4 yards/game.

Pita Pit X-Men Football Defensive Player of the Week
X-Men linebacker Josh Connors was named the STFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 30, 2023. Josh, a fourth year Business student (3rd year eligibility) from Toronto, ON led all defensive players in the game with 10.5 tackles in the X-Men's 34-31 overtime win against Bishop's Friday night. Josh had 8 solo tackles and 5 assisted tackles in the game, including one tackle for a loss of a yard. He is currently second overall in AUS tackling with 34.0 on the season. 

Pita Pit X-Men Football Special Teams Player of the Week
X-Men kicker/punter Ben Hadley was named the STFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 30, 2023. Ben, a fourth year Business student from Halifax, NS scored 14 points, including the game winning field goal in overtime to give the X-Men a 34-31 win over Bishop's. Ben kicked four field goals from 45, 42, 39 an 31 yards out, including three in overtime to keep his squad in the game. He also had 4 kick-offs for 241 yards, averaging 60.3 yards/kick. Ben currently leads the AUS in kicking percentage at 84% and leads in total points scored with 78 on the season.
