Pita Pit STFX X-Men Football Offensive Player of the Week

X-Men running back Malcolm Bussey was named the STFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 3, 2023. Malcolm, a third year Human Kinetics student from Hammonds Plains, NS, led all rushers in Saturday's game as the X-Men beat Acadia 23-6 on the road. Malcolm had 19 carries for 148 yards, averaging 7.8 yards/rush. The 2022 AUS MVP and All-Canadian currently leads the conference in rushing, averaging 131.5 yards/game.

Pita Pit STFX X-Men Football Defensive Player of the Week

X-Men linebacker Josh Connors was named the STFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 3, 2023. Josh, a fourth year Business student from Toronto, ON played another strong game on the X-Men defense in their 23-6 win over Acadia Saturday. Josh had 7.5 tackles in the game, including seven solo tackles. He currently has 14 tackles on the season in two games played and is second overall in the AUS. 

Pita Pit STFX X-Men Football Special Teams Player of the Week

X-Men receiver/returner Ben Harrington was named the STFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 3, 2023. Ben, a fourth year Business student from Dartmouth, NS had a big game on punt return for the X-Men in their 23-6 win over Acadia Saturday, scoring an 83-yard touchdown on a punt return late in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory for the X-Men. Ben had 4 punt returns for 106 yards, 1 kickoff return for 19 yards and added 47 yards on offense with one rush and two receptions.
