Pita Pit X-Men Football Offensive Player of the Week

X-Men running back Malcolm Bussey was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 9, 2022. Max, a second year Human Kinetics student from Hammonds Plains, NS scored two touchdowns in the X-Men's 30-10 win over Bishop's Saturday. He scored on a two-yard run in the 2nd quarter and a 30-yard run in the 4th quarter on 3rd and one. Malcolm had 18 rushes for 115 yards in the game, averaging 6.4 yards/rush. He currently leads the AUS in rushing with a 106.0 yards/game average this season.

Pita Pit X-Men Football Defensive Player of the Week

X-Men linebacker Josh Connors was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 9, 2022. Josh, a third year Business student from Hamilton, Ont. lead the X-Men in tackles in their 30-10 win over Bishop's Saturday as they improved to 5-0 on the season. He had 6.5 tackles in the game, including five solo tackles and one sack with a loss of five yards on the play. Josh currently has 15.5 tackles on the AUS season in four games played.

Pita Pit X-Men Football Special Teams Player of the Week

X-Men kicker/punter Max Capriotti was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 1, 2022. Max, a fourth year Human Kinetics student from Mount Hope, Ont. had an excellent day punting in bad weather in the X-Men's 30-10 win over Bishop's Saturday. He had 12 punts for 421 yards, averaging 35.1 yards/punt, including five punts inside the 20 yard line. Max had a long punt of 63 yards (longest of the season in the AUS) and added a rouge in the game. He is currently averaging 35.2 yards/punt this season.
