Pita Pit STFX Offensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men running back Malcolm Bussey was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 28, 2022. Malcolm, a second year Human Kinetics student from Hammonds Plains, NS scored two touchdowns in the X-Men's 25-12 win over SMU on Saturday. He scored a one-yard TD run in the 1st quarter and a 19-yard rushing TD with just over 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter to give the X-Men a key lead. In total Malcolm, the 2021 AUS rookie of the year had 19 carries for 120 yards in the game, averaging 6.3 yards a carry.

X-Men defensive lineman Alex Fedchun was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 28, 2022. Alex, a fifth year Human Kinetics student from Calgary, AB had 7.5 tackles in STFX's 25-12 win over SMU on Saturday, including seven solo tackles. He had a sack for a loss of 4 yards, and two more tackles for a loss in the game, helping guide the X-Men defense. Alex was an AUS all-star last season.

Pita Pit STFX Special Teams Athlete of the Week
X-Men defensive back Nathan Cayouette was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 28, 2022. Nathan, a second year Human Kinetics student from Strathmore, AB had great coverage on special teams in the X-Men's 25-12 victory over SMU on Saturday, including four solo tackles. Nathan led the team in tackling with 10 total in the game, all solo tackles. He also had two tackles for a loss of eight yards.
