X-Men running back Malcolm Bussey was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 14, 2021. Malcolm, a 1st year Arts student from Hammonds Plains, NS was the Player of the Game in the X-Men's 27-22 AUS semifinal playoff win over Acadia Saturday. He had a big game on the ground with 32 carries for 258 total yards, averaging 8.1 yards/rush. Malcolm scored a four-yard rushing TD late in the 2nd quarter that capped off a 104 yard, 10-play drive, with all 10 plays coming off consecutive rushes by Malcolm. He led the AUS in rushing this season averaging 111.0 yards/game.

X-Men defensive back Liam Wilde was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 14, 2021. Liam, a 4th year Arts student from Calgary, AB had 4 tackles in the X-Men's 27-22 AUS semifinal playoff win over Acadia Saturday, including 3 solo tackles. He also had a key interception late in the 2nd quarter as he picked off a 29-yard Acadia pass to stop their offensive drive. X then scored a key FG on the ensuing possession to pull the score to within two points at 22-20. Liam had 15.5 total tackles on the season this year.

Pita Pit X-Men Football Special Teams Player of the Week

X-Men kicker/punter Max Capriotti was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 14, 2021. Max, a 3rd year Human Kinetics student from Mount Hope, ON scored 9 points in the X-Men's 27-22 semifinal playoff win over Acadia Saturday with two field goals and 3 extra points. Max kicked a 36-yard field goal in the 1st quarter and followed up with a key 42-yard field goal late in the 2nd quarter to pull the X-Men to within two points, 22-20 at that point in the game. He also had 8 punts in the game for 302 yards, averaging 37.8 yards/punt.
