Fagnan, Fedchun & Burnham receive football athlete of the week honours

McDonald's X-Men Football Offensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men receiver Isaac Fagnan was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 13, 2019. Isaac, a third year Business student from Bonnyville, AB had a 32 yard touchdown catch in the X-Men's recent loss at Acadia. He had six total receptions in the game for 102 yards, averaging 17.0 yards/catch. Isaac also had one punt return for eight yards on special teams. He currently leads the X-Men in receiving and is 8th in the AUS with 29 catches for 253 yards, averaging 50.4 yards per game.

X-Men defensive lineman Alex Fedchun was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 13, 2019. Alex, a second year Human Kinetics student from Calgary, Alta. had 6.5 tackles, including five solo tackles, in the X-Men's recent loss at Acadia. He also had two tackles for a loss of two yards. Alex is currently second overall in the AUS defensive stats with 47.5 tackles on the season, averaging 6.8 tackles per game.

X-Men kicker/punter Keiran Burnham was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 13, 2019. Keiran, a fifth year Arts student from Cambridge, Ont. continued his strong plat this season in the X-Men's recent loss at Acadia. Keiran had 7 points in the game on a 17 yard field goal, rouge and three point after kicks. He also had 9 punts in the game for 362 yards, averaging 40.2 yards/punt, including one inside the 20. His three kick-offs totaled 186 yards, averaging 62.0 yards/kick. Keiran currently leads the AUS in punting with a 42.4 average.
