McDonald's X-Men Football Offensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men running back Jordan Socholotiuk was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 5, 2017. Jordan, a 4th year Human Kinetics student from Fort McMurray, Alta. led all rushers in a close 16-15 loss to SMU in the AUS semifinal on Saturday. He had 23 rushes for 92 yards, averaging 4.0 yards/rush, along with 1 reception for 6 yards. Jordan finished the season second overall in AUS rushing with 944 total yards and an average of 118.0 yards/game.

X-Men linebacker Kadel King was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 5, 2017. Kadel, a 3rd year Business student from London, England played a strong game on defense for the X-Men in a close 16-15 AUS semifinal loss to SMU. He had 5.5 tackles in the game, including 5 solo tackles, along with 2 break-ups. Kadel was 2nd on X-Men defense this year and 5th in the AUS with 50.5 tackles (38 solo tackles), averaging 6.3 tackles/game. 

McDonald's X-Men Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week
X-Men kicker/punter Jonathan Heidebrecht was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 5, 2017. Jon, a 3rd year Business student from Camrose, Alta. scored all 15 of the X-Men's points in a close 16-15 loss to SMU in the AUS semifinal. He kicked 5 field goals in the game, from 33, 51, 31, 17 and 25 yards. In addition Jon booted 5 kick-offs for 300 yards, averaging 60 yards per kick. He finished the AUS season with 70 points and a 64% field goal kicking percentage.
