X-Man Dalloul signs with Tiger-Cats

StFX football defensive lineman Yahia Dalloul has signed on with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL. Dalloul, a native of Dartmouth, NS and originally from Palestine played the past five seasons with the X-Men and was a key contributor on defense. Tiger-Cats Add Canadians to D-Line

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed non-import defensive linemen Yahia Dalloul and J.P. Gilbert.

\r\n

Dalloul, a 6-3, 260-pound native of Palestine played five seasons at St. Francis Xavier, making 107.5 defensive tackles (80 solo), 7.5 quarterback sacks and 18.5 tackles for losses.  His 4.5 quarterback sacks led the AUS in 2008.

\r\n

Gilbert, a 6-3, 280-pound native of St-Victor de Beauce, Quebec recorded 105.5 tackles (54 solo) and 17.5 quarterback sacks in five seasons at Laval.  He was named a first-team CIS all-star in 2009 and helped the Rouge et Or capture Vanier Cup championships in 2006 and 2008.

The Ticats also announced that the team has released non-import offensive lineman Chris Kowalczuk.
