Getting to Know...Eileen Benoit

X-Women Cross Country runner Eileen Benoit is the latest athlete featured in the Getting to Know your X-Women/X-Men series this summer. The Windsor, NS native recently completed her second year at StFX in the BScHK program. 

Nickname: Leen 

Pregame Routine: Pasta dinner the night before, braid my hair in the morning, left sneaker goes on first before the right sneaker 

Go-to warm-up song: Figuring It Out by SWMRS 

Favourite moment to date as a StFX student-athlete: Winning the team banner at AUS for Cross Country or huddling for our team chant before racing at U SPORTS 

When I'm not studying or playing my sport, I like to: Spend time with friends 

If I could trade lives with anyone for one day, it would be: Any elite female runner, because it would be incredible to experience the feeling of running as quick as they do, as well as earn insight into the work they put in on a daily basis 

The next place I want to travel is: Amsterdam 

My biggest pet peeve is: Poor manners 

One thing on my bucket list is: Earning a team placement on the podium at a U SPORTS Cross Country race
