Siona Chisholm of the StFX women's cross country team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending October 31, 2021. 

A first-year human kinetics student from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Chisholm was the individual women's champion at last weekend's Subway AUS Cross Country Championship hosted by Université de Moncton. She finished first in a field of 48 runners, completing the eight-kilometre course with a time of 29:19. This win marked the third first-place finish for Chisholm this season, and earned her AUS female cross country athlete of the year and rookie of the year honours, as well as a place on the AUS all-star team.

On top of her individual win, Chisholm's X-Women were named the AUS champions, they took home the banner for the first time since 2012.

Chisholm will now compete in the 2021 U SPORTS Cross Country Championship, which takes place November 20 at the Université Laval.

Andrew Peverill of the Saint Mary's Huskies men's cross country team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending October 31, 2021. 

A fourth-year commerce student from Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, Peverill was the individual men's champion at last weekend's Subway AUS Cross Country Championship hosted by Université de Moncton. He finished first in a field of 53 runners, completing the eight-kilometre course with a time of 25:22. This is Peverill's third first-place finish of the season, and his second consecutive AUS individual championship win. He was named the AUS male cross country athlete of the year and earned a place on the AUS all-star team.

Peverill will now compete in the 2021 U SPORTS Cross Country Championship, which takes place November 20 at the Université Laval.
