Getting to Know...Quinn Alexander

X-Men Cross Country/Track & Field runner Quinn Alexander is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Quinn is a third year Arts student from Truro, N.S.

If I could be StFX President for a day I would?
Put having an indoor track and field facility as a priority, with proper throws and jumps areas and a 200m track!

My teammates would use this one word to describe me?
Consistent

When I am not studying or playing my sport, in my spare time I like to?
Play recreational sports and hang out with friends!

If I could have lunch with anyone in the world, it would be with?
My best friend

My biggest pet peeve is?
Slow walkers

My dream job is?
Working as a high school teacher and coaching sports teams at the school

If I could compete in any other sport at StFX it would be?
Volleyball if there was a varsity team!

If I could come out at the start of a game to an entrance song, it would be?

Something interesting about my hometown is?
We have the Tidal Bore, which has the highest tides in the world!

My favorite moment to date as a StFX student-athlete is?
All the hype moments, whether it's watching Angus Rawling win the 3000m at the U SPORTS Championships from home with the team, getting personal bests in my events, or racing in the relays at AUS. There's nothing like teammates supporting each other.

Favorite place to study?  My room or the library

Favorite food?  Brownies or pizza!

Favorite summer activity?  Not having to worry about assignments for classes

Favorite animated movie?  Big Hero 6
