X-Women hockey forward Daley Oddy was named the StFX Female Student-Athlete of the Year, while X-Men soccer striker Daniel Hayfield and X-Men cross country/track & field distance runner Angus Rawling were co-awarded StFX Male Student-Athlete of the Year honors at the awards gala celebrated Wednesday evening.

Reigning AUS cross country champion Angus Rawling will be competing at the World University Cross Country Championship in Switzerland this Saturday, April 7th. He joins 10 other U SPORTS All-Canadian runners on the Canadian roster.

Atlantic University Sport released the 2018 fall sports schedules today, including women’s rugby, men’s and women’s soccer as well as men’s and women’s cross country. Hosts for the 2018 fall championships were also confirmed.

Alex Neuffer (Stratford, PE), of the StFX X-Men, was the first university athlete across the finish line at the men’s 8K race at the UNB-STU Invitational on Saturday, the first event on the Atlantic University Sport men’s cross country schedule. Neuffer posted a time of 26:47.

X-Women cross country runner Olivia MacDonald is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Olivia is a fourth year human Kinetics student from Antigonish, N.S.

X-Men cross country runner Angus Rawling is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Angus is a third year Business student from Calgary, Alta.
