X-Men freshman finishes first in Moncton
X-Men freshman Riley Johnston (26:54) raced to first place Saturday at the Université de Moncton Invitational cross country meet in Moncton.
Johnston’s effort led the blue and white to the team victory with 15 points, outdistancing Dalhousie (49), UNB (98), St. Mary’s (106) and St. Thomas (114).
Five of the top six individual finishers were X-Men, including Johnston, Aaron Doucette, (2nd, 27:06); Bryden Tate (3rd, 27:12); Dennis Kayumba (4th, 27:19) and Zach MacDonald (6th, 27:48).
Stephen Deering (10th, 28:14) also garnered a top-ten finish for the blue and white.
William Forsey (14th, 29:03) and Ryan Hatchard (17th, 29:21) also competed for the X-Men.
The X-Men return to action Saturday, Oct. 15, when they will compete in the Dalhousie University Invitational in Halifax.
