Stewart named AUS Female Athlete of the Week

X-Women cross country runner Gina Stewart was named the StFX and AUS Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 26, 2008. Gina, a fourth year Aquatic Resources student from Antigonish, NS won the AUS women’s championship 5k race this past weekend in Moncton with a time of 18:59.60, leading her X-Women team to their 4th consecutive AUS team banner in the process. She was also named the AUS Female Runner of the Year and will represent the X-Women at the upcoming CIS championship.
