Gerych named AUS Male Athlete of the Week

X-Men cross country runner David Gerych was named the StFX and AUS Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 26, 2008. David, a fourth year exchange student from Louny, Czech Republic won the AUS men’s 10k championship race this past weekend in Moncton with a time of 33:17.10, leading the X-Men team to an AUS championship and an undefeated season. He was also named the AUS Male Runner of the Year and will represent the X-Men at the upcoming CIS championship in Laval on Nov. 8.
