Soccer X-Women 1-1-1 in pre-season action

The X-Women Soccer team played in three pre-season exhibition games to get tuned up for the upcoming AUS season.

On Sunday, Aug. 20th the blue and white hosted the Acadia Axewomen in Guysborough and played to a 1-1 draw. Freshman midfielder Cheyenne Bower scored the lone goal for the X-Women.

The X-Women then played a pair of games in non-conference action in Ottawa against Carleton University and the University of Ottawa.

On August 23rd, STFX blanked the Ottawa Gee Gees 3-0. X-Women goals came from Aidan Miller, Meghan Cole and Caitlin Crichton.  

They followed up with a close 3-2 loss to the Carleton Ravens on August 25th as goals were scored by Brynn Jurus and Amanda Smith.

The X-Women open up AUS regular season play this coming weekend, September 2-3 when they host UNB on Saturday and Moncton on Sunday. Game time for both matches is 1:00 pm at STFX Stadium.
