X-Women Rugby to host Acadia in AUS championship game

The STFX X-Women and STFX Athletics are set to host the Acadia Axewomen in the AUS championship game, presented by Bell. The game will take place at STFX Stadium on Wednesday evening, October 23rd at 6:00 pm.

 

The X-Women finished the regular seaosn in first place with a 5-1-0 record and earned a playoff bye directly into the championship game. The Axewomen also finished with a 5-1-0 record but the X-Women had a better point differential in the two games played between the teams this season and took the top spot. Acadia defeated the UPEI Panthers 36-21 last week in the AUS semfinal, booking their ticket to the championship game.

 

The winner of Wednesday's final will advance to the U SPORTS championship being host by UPEI in Charlottetown, PEI from October 30th to November 3rd.
