Danielle Franada of the StFX X-Women rugby team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending October 10, 2021. 

A fifth-year business student from Grand Prairie, AB, Franada scored 24 points in the X-Women's decisive 68-7 win over the SMU Huskies in Halifax on Wednesday, earning herself Subway Player of the Game.

She added two tries and seven conversions to her league-leading 70 points this season and with that, claimed sole possession of fifth place on the AUS career scoring list with 221 points.

Rylan Parenteau of the UNB Reds men's hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending October 10, 2021. 

The veteran goaltender's efforts last week helped to open the UNB Reds' regular season with a pair of wins, including a 3-0 shutout against the Moncton Aigles Bleues at home on Wednesday, where his 31 saves earned him first star of the game. 

On Saturday, the engineering student from Saskatoon made 24 saves in a 3-2 overtime victory over UPEI's Panthers, finishing the weekend with a .965 save percentage. Parenteau's strong regular-season start follows a pair of shutouts in pre-season play.
