The U SPORTS No. 2 X-Women rugby team dropped a pair of exhibition games to the No. 5 ranked Queen’s Gaels in doubleheader action Saturday afternoon at the University of Ottawa.
In a battle of the top two ranked teams in U SPORTS women’s rugby, the No. 1 Ottawa Gee Gee’s came out on top, defeating the No. 2 StFX X-Women 39-7 Friday night in exhibition action.
The U SPORTS No. 2 ranked StFX X-Women defeated the UPEI Panthers by 83-5 margin on a misty Homecoming Friday night, and, in doing so, honoured the recently inducted StFX Sports Hall of Fame 2006 national championship team who were in attendance.
In a battle of U SPORTS top 10 teams, the No. 2 StFX X-Women came out on top against the visiting No. 8 Acadia Axewomen with a 36-17 victory Saturday afternoon.
