Getting to Know...Sam Lake

X-Women rugby prop Sam Lake is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Sam is a third year Human Kinetics student from Windsor, NS.

If I could be StFX President for a day I would?
Cancel classes and throw a huge BBQ for everyone.

A unique talent or skill I have is?
I'm actually a pretty decent at swimming, I helped set a provincial record once for my relay team when I was a competitive swimmer!

When I am not studying or playing my sport, in my spare time I like to?
Nap and hang out with my friends!

If I could have lunch with anyone in the world, it would be with?
Ellen DeGeneres for sure!

My biggest pet peeve is?
When people chew or breathe really loud

My dream job is?
Tara Sutherland's job!

If I could compete in any other sport at StFX it would be?
Women's hockey

If I could come out at the start of a game to an entrance song, it would be?
I couldn't imagine any song other than X Gonna Give It To Ya

Something interesting about my hometown is?
It's the birthplace of hockey!

My favorite moment to date as a StFX student-athlete is?
Pretty predictable, but winning Nationals last year, it would be pretty hard to beat that!
