Getting to Know...Ellen Murphy

X-Women rugby prop/lock Ellen Murphy is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Ellen recently completed her third year with the X-Women and is a Human Kinetics student from Augustine Cove, P.E.I.

Nickname:  Murph, but one of my teammates calls me Ellis

My favorite moment to date as a StFX student-athlete is…?
Winning Nationals is a great experience and I'm lucky enough to say I've been able to experience it twice!

If I could be Prime Minister for one day I would…?
Set up affordable sporting programs all across the country for children, so that everyone has the opportunity to participate!

My favorite Disney movie or character is…?
It would probably be a toss-up between Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc.

My biggest pet peeve is…?
Walking with people who walk super slow...

My dream job is…?
Physiotherapist for a high level sports team, but who know that dream could change tomorrow.

One thing I love about StFX is…?
The town, and the people around, they make it so easy and so enjoyable to go to school here!

I live less than 10 minutes from the Confederation Bridge.
