X-Women rugby win four exhibition games in Montreal
The CIS ranked No. 1 X-Women rugby team travelled to Montreal over the Thanksgiving weekend for exhibition action and came home with four victories, claiming wins in each game they played.

Saturday afternoon the StFX and McGill B squads took to the field with StFX earning a decisive 60-5 victory. Sara Gandy, Jenna Downey, Maggie McDonald and Carolyn Stewart all scored two tries a piece for the X-Women in the win.
Single tries were scored by Alyssa MacDonald, Charity Marchischuk and Werica Cranston, while Anna Simonds booted five conversions.
The A squads of both the X-Women and the McGill Martlets also played on Saturday with StFX claiming a 39-17 victory. The X-Women held a 17-0 lead at halftime.
Emma Taylor and Breanna Allison each scored a pair of tries for the blue and white, while singles were scored by Joanna Alphonso, Brooke Newsome and Lauren Agnew. Sabrina McDaid had two conversions to round out the scoring for StFX.
The X-Women B squad saw action again on Sunday when they defeated John Abbott College 29-3. Lauren Agnew led the StFX attack with two tries in the game, while Ashley Brooker, Brianna Graham and Abena Danquah each found the try line. Dominique Lalande kicked two conversions.
Later in the day Sunday the X-Women followed up their four-game weekend with a 40-21 victory over CIS ranked No. 9 Concordia.
Scoring tries for the X-Women against Concordia were Brooke Newsome and Beckie Clark who each scored two, with Alphonso and Tasha McKenzie scoring single tries. McDaid had five conversions in the match.
The X-Women will next hit the pitch on Sunday afternoon, October 19th in their final AUS regular season game against Saint Mary's. Game time is 2:00 pm at StFX Oland Stadium.
