Getting to Know...Zahra Batool

X-Women scrum half Zahra Batool is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Zahra recently completed her third year with the X-Women and is a Human Nutrition student from Waterloo, Ont.

My favorite StFX sporting moment to date is…?
All the moments that make up training camp. It is literally living the dream: lots of eating, sleeping, and rugby with the best gang of gals I know and oodles of time with our coach who adores us. (Hi Mike) Everything from the excitement of linking up again, meeting the new freshmen, to stepping on the pitch for that first game of the season - wouldn't trade it for the world.

If I could meet any famous person it would be…?
Nelson Mandela or José Mujica, the president of Uruguay

My favorite Disney movie or character is…?
Tarzan

My biggest pet peeve is…?
People who leave farts in elevators right before they leave. I get so rattled. On top of that, the next person that enters thinks it's me when it definitely wasn't.

My dream job is…?
Stay at home mom

My biggest fan is…?
Probably my teammates. They never miss a single one of my games.

Tell us something interesting about your hometown?
The University of Waterloo is guarded by vicious, man-eating Canadian geese. The city has signs posted in certain areas that warn innocent civilians to use alternate routes. I wish I was kidding, but I'm not.
