Emma Taylor of the 2013 AUS champion StFX X-Women's rugby team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 27, 2013.
Taylor, a fourth-year business student from Scotsburn, N.S., helped lead the X-Women to a 19-12 overtime victory over the Acadia Axewomen in the AUS championship game Sunday.
With the win, the X-Women claim not only the conference title, but the only AUS berth in the CIS women's rugby championship this weekend at Laval.
Taylor scored the game-winning try in the final minute of the second overtime half and was named the AUS championship MVP. She was also named to the 2013 AUS all-star team last week.

John Kuto of the Saint Mary's Huskies men's cross country team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 27, 2013.
A first-year student-athlete in his second year of eligibility, the criminology student from Eldoret, Kenya secured a first-place win at the Subway AUS men's cross country championship hosted by Université de Moncton on Saturday.
He finished the 10km race with a time of 32:42:62, 26 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
Kuto boasted a first-place finish at every AUS meet this season was named the AUS cross country male athlete of the year at the championship banquet following Saturday's race.
