The 2012 Subway Atlantic University Sport women's rugby championship hosted by StFX University is scheduled for October 27-28 at Oland Stadium in Antigonish, N.S.

This is the first year the AUS women’s rugby championship will be played over one weekend at a single location. The championship will consist of two semifinal contests on Saturday afternoon, with the final scheduled for Sunday at 2:00pm.

Saturday’s opening semifinal game will feature the first place StFX X-Women (8-0) taking on the fourth place UPEI Panthers (3-5) at 12:00pm. The second semifinal will see the Acadia Axewomen (2nd place, 5-3) take on the Saint Mary’s Huskies (3rd place, 4-4) at 2:00pm.

The 2012 AUS women’s rugby awards and all-stars will be announced and presented at an awards banquet Friday evening at the Charles V. Keating Centre on the StFX campus.

The Subway AUS women’s rugby championship schedule is as follows:

Saturday, October 27th
Semifinal #1: UPEI (4th) vs. StFX (1st), 12:00pm
Semifinal #2: Saint Mary’s (3rd) vs. Acadia (2nd), 2:00pm

Sunday, October 28th
Championship: Semifinal Winners, 2:00pm

The 2012 CIS women's rugby championship is scheduled for November 1-4, also hosted by StFX University in Antigonish, N.S.

Note: The AUS conference will have two teams participating in the 2012 CIS championship, including the host StFX X-Women.
