X-Women Rugby CIS Champions Celebration

CIS Golden X-Women Rugby Celebration

ANTIGONISH, NS --- The StFX Department of Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce the upcoming celebration in honor of the X-Women Rugby CIS National Champions. The celebration is taking place Monday, November, 15th at 6:00pm at the StFX Oland Centre Gym.

This past Sunday November 7th the StFX X-Women Rugby team defeated the Concordia Stingers 17-12 in an exciting CIS Championship overtime win. This is the second time the X-Women have won CIS gold. The X-Women were ranked No. 3 in the CIS Top Ten listing for the duration of the season. They were undefeated in regular season and in playoffs. This year they captured their 13th consecutive AUS Championship banner.

Wear your Blue & white and come out to meet the Golden X-Women Rugby team. There will be free souvenir autograph posters. Championship t-shirts will be available for sale at the event.
