X-Women Rugby improve to 4-0

(Wolfville, NS) The Acadia Axewomen rugby squad were dropped 49-7 by the CIS #2 StFX X-Women.  The X-Women, who now are undefeated this season and have not lost a game since Oct 16, 2004 at the hands of the UPEI Panthers, improve to 4-0, while Acadia slips to 1-3.

X-Woman Courtnay Malcom, named the Subway Player of the Game, added 14 points to the StFX total including two of the four first half trys along with two conversions. Fourth year Wing Ghislaine Landry added two trys while teammates Asya Bartley, Amanda Thornborough, Lisa Gauthier, Alison McGlashan and Stephanie Gillis each had one.

Acadia's lone try was scored at the 65 minute mark by Allison Jordan and converted by Erin Beazley.

StFX will travel to Saint Mary's this coming Wednesday night, while the Axewomen travel to UPEI on Thursday night before the Thanksgiving Holiday.
