X-Women Rugby win again
The X-Women rugby team continued their winning ways on Homecoming weekend with a decisive 76-0 victory over the visiting UPEI Panthers. Freshman Lisa Gauthier scored 5 tries in the game, all in the second half, to lead the X-Women in scoring. Courtnay Malcolm had a try and 8 converts for 21 points, as the undefeated X-Women jumped to a 38-0 half-time lead at Oland Stadium. Zoe Fielding scored two tries for StFX while single tries were scored by Tamara Boiteau, Ghislaine Landry, Kim Armstrong and Jill MacLaren. The win improves the X-Women's record to 5-0 atop the AUS standings and clinches them a playoff berth. StFX travels to Halifax on Wednesday evening for a game against the second place Saint Mary's Huskies (4-1) then are off for an exhibition trip on the weekend for games against the University of Ottawa, the Ottawa Irish and the McGill Martlets.
