Ruggers to host AUS final

Oct 17, 2007 - The X-Women rugby team clinched first place overall in the AUS standings again this year with a perfect 6-0 record and 12 points. In their final league game this past weekend the X-Women defeated the Acadia Axewomen 36-5. Courtnay Malcolm scored 16 points in the game with two tries and three converts for a league leading 72 points on the season. AUS second place scorer Ghislaine Landry had two tries in the game for a total of 65 this season. Tamara Boiteau rounded out the game scoring with two tries while Quinn MacKenzie scored the lone try for the Axewomen.\r\n\r\nThe defending CIS champion and nine-time defending AUS champion X-Women will once again host the AUS championship game at Oland Stadium. The final is slated for Saturday, Oct. 27 at 2pm. Their opponent will be the winner of the AUS semi-final game between the second place Saint Mary's Huskies and third place UPEI Panthers.
