Oct 4, 2007 - The X-Women rugby team move to a perfect 5-0 record in AUS competition this season after posting an 18-5 win over the Saint Mary‰Ûªs Huskies Wednesday night in Halifax. Courtnay Malcolm led the X-Women with 13 points in the game including one try, one conversion and two penalty kicks. Ghislaine Landry added the other five points for the X-Women with her league leading 11th try of the season. Jillian Robinson scored the lone try for the Huskies. The X-Women are currently in sole possession of first place with 10 points.\r\n\r\nThey will next see action at home on Saturday afternoon exhibition action when they host the McGill Martlets for the annual McEwen Cup. The McEwen Cup was started in 2004 by McGill University to honor the McEwen family of Montreal who generously donated land for McGill athletics playing fields. The Martlets hosted and won the inaugural Cup in 2004 by a 26-16 score, while the X-Women have won the past two years. In 2005 the X-Women hosted McGill and defeated them 12-5 and last season at Montreal StFX defeated McGill by a 29-5 margin. This year‰Ûªs game is slated for 2:30pm Saturday at Oland Stadium.
