Ruggers tame Panthers 46-0

Oct 1, 2007 - The X-Women rugby team continued their winning ways this past weekend, entertaining the StFX Homecoming crowd with a 46-0 shutout win over the visiting UPEI Panthers Sunday afternoon at Oland Stadium. In the first half, Ghislaine Landy scored two tries, Zoe Fielding scored a try and Courtnay Malcolm scored a convert to establish a 17-0 half-time lead. The second half brought another try by Landry and a strong performance by rookie Amanda Bedard who scored four tries for the blue and white. Malcolm rounded out the scoring with two more converts.\r\n\r\nThe 4-0 X-Women are in sole possession of first place atop the AUS conference with 8 points. They will host the McGill Martlets in the annual McEwan Cup on Saturday at 2:30pm at Oland Stadium.
