Ruggers chalk up Island 'W'

Sep 17, 2007 - The CIS defending champion X-Women rugby team added another victory to their win column on Saturday afternoon as they defeated the UPEI Panthers 26-5. In the wet game played on the Island, four different X-Women scored tries on route to the win including Kim Armstrong, Megan Pritchard, Jill MacLaren and Ghislaine Landry. Courtney Malcolm had two penalty kicks for the X-Women to round off the scoring while Rebecca Robinson scored the lone try for the Panthers.\r\n\r\nThe X-Women now hold a 2-0 record in AUS league play and are tied for first in the standings with Saint Mary‰Ûªs. They next see action on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 23 when they will host the Huskies at 2:00 pm in their home opener at Oland Stadium.
