Defending CIS Champs continue winning ways

Sep 10, 2007 - The rugby X-Women team won the CIS championship last season and have continued their winning ways so far this season. Already with two decisive exhibition wins under their belts over Ottawa and Saint Mary's, the X-Women travelled to Windsor, NS on Sunday afternoon for their first AUS regular season game against the Axewomen and came home with a 52-5 victory.\r\n\r\nLast year's CIS All Canadian and Rookie of the Year Ghislaine Landry scored three tries for the X-Women while first year center Amanda Bedard scored four tries for the blue and white. Courtney Malcolm and Kim Armstrong each scored tries while Malcolm also added two converts and a penalty kick.\r\n\r\nThe X-Women are on the road again this weekend when they travel to UPEI on Saturday for a 2pm game against the Panthers.
