X-Women Hockey announce first recruit for 2020-21 team

ANTIGONISH, NS – StFX X-Women hockey coach Ben Berthiaume is pleased to announce the commitment of forward Kristen Marshall to the team for the 2020-21 season.

Marshall is a 5'4" forward from Whitby, Ont., currently playing in the PWHL for the Whitby Wolves. Last season with the Wolves, she scored 20 goals and had 9 assists in 50 games. The right-winger is known for her skill and offensive abilities.

When asked about Kristen's potential contributions at the university level, Coach Berthiaume commented, "Kirsten is a player that has produced offensively at all previous levels and has a good scoring touch. Her release is very good and she finds herself in the right places to find the back of the net."

"Kristen is a smart two-way player and a quality person that fits our ideals of a well-rounded student-athlete. We are happy to have Kristen join our program next year and we look forward to seeing her develop and progress here at StFX."

Marshall intends to study Science in the fall of 2020.
