Fenerty wins CIS Fair Play Award

X-Women hockey defense Suzanne Fenerty was the recipient of the R.W. Pugh Fair Play Award presented recently at the conclusion of the CIS Women's Ice Hockey Championship, hosted at StFX University.

The award is given annually after the championship to a student-athlete exhibiting fair play and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. This is the second consecutive year that Fenerty has received the award, as she was also the R.W. Pugh Fair Play recipient last year when the championship was hosted at the University of Ottawa.

Fenerty is in her second season with the X-Women. She is a Business student from Cole Harbour, NS and last year was a member of the AUS all-rookie team. In 24 regualr season games played with the X-Women this season she recorded 10 points and was third amongst the team defense in scoring.
