Coming off a thrilling double-overtime victory the night before, the StFX X-Women
couldn't muster up enough to knock off the CIS No. 7 UNB Varisty Reds as they fell by a
final score of 69-55.

Ashley Stephen lead the way the X-Women with 12 points and 13 rebounds while Sheryl Chisholm and Kirsten Jones were the next leading scorers with 9 apiece.

After a tight first quarter which saw the X-Women and V-Reds finishing tied at 14, the VReds
took over, outscoring StFX 19-8 giving them a 33-22 halftime lead.

A big 22 point fourth quarter brought the X-Women back within two points but not enough for the blue and white to come out victorious.

Claire Colborne was the leading scorer for UNB with 21 while Amanda Sharpe chipped
in with 17.

Up next for StFX are the Dalhousie Tigers on Saturday night in Halifax.
