X-Men racers kick off indoor season at Athletics NS meet
Four X-Men runners compete in three races at the Athletics NS Last Chance meet
Halifax, NS – Four X-Men track runners competed at the Athletics Nova Scotia Last Chance meet Saturday at the Canada Games Centre.
The X-Men were represented in three different races.
Second year runner Andrew Lupenette ran a 4:17.46 in the 1500m race, coming out on top in the field of eight competitors.
First year X-Man Landyn Cooke-Bithrey competed in the 1000m and posted a time of 2:45.16, goof enough for fourth place overall out of six racers.
Fellow freshman Conlan MacKenzie finished the 3000m race in third place in a time of 9:07.92, while second year runner Brett King ran 8:42.62 in the 3000m, coming in second spot behind Jacob Benoit (8:11.96).
StFX did not have any X-Women runners competing in this meet.
Next up on the indoor circuit schedule is the Athletics Nova Scotia Indoor Open on January 17th and 18th, also at the Canada Games Centre.
