St. John, NB – The STFX X-Women track team sent a trio of runners to compete at the UNB Red & Black Open hosted by UNB Saint John on Saturday at the Irving Oil Field House.

Fresh off the U SPORTS Cross Country championship last weekend in Halifax, Allie Sandluck (Thorburn, NS), Mairin Canning (Antigonish, NS) and Brynn Hebert (Westaskiwin, AB) competed in the 3000m race for STFX on Saturday afternoon.

All three X-Women ran to personal best times in the event, placing 1-2-3. Sandluck finished with a time of 9:57.27, Canning posted a 10:09.52 result and Hebert finished at 10:42.90.

The track schedule resumes on December 17^th with the Moncton Invitational.
