Halifax, NS – The X-Women and X-Men track & field teams competed at the Tiger Track Classic on Sunday at the Canada Games Centre.

Events included the 60m hurdles, 60m dash, 300m, 600m, 1000m, 1500m, 3000m, high jump, long jump in both men's and women's categories, along with a mixed triple jump.

In the women's high jump, Lauren Agnew was 2^nd with a 1.50m jump, while Mary Catherine Thompson and Bridget Brennan tied for 4^th, both with a 1.45m result. Brennan won the long jump with a 5.44m finish. Agnew was 3^rd at 5.09m, Thompson placed 5^th at 4.84m and Maddy Nastasiuk was 6^th at 4.70m.

In the mixed triple jump event, Colin Thompson was the lone StFX competitor and he placed 2^nd overall with am 11.15m jump.

In the men's high jump, Jordan Tyrrell and Jake McKenna tied for 2^nd place, each jumping 1.75m. Creighton Jewkes was 4^th with a 1.65m result.

In the long jump, Randy Roseway came 3^rd with a 6.03m jump, while Tyrrell and McKenna were 4^th at 4.84m. Jewkes placed 8^th at 5.36m and Thompson was 9^th at 5.28m.

Next on the schedule for the StFX track & field squad is the AUS Open scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 13^th, also at the Canada Games Centre. On Sunday there will be an AUS Relay event.

The Subway AUS Track & Field Championship will take place Feb. 27-28 in Moncton.
