Moncton, NB – StFX throwers competed at the Moncton Open Saturday afternoon at the Universite de Moncton.

Hailey Pollock (Barrie, ON) placed second in the 4kg shot put, completing a throw of 11.09m. A total of seven throwers competed in the event. She also competed in the weight throw event and was first overall with a throw of 11.51m.

In the men's 7.62kg shot put, fourth year X-Men Robert Kennedy (Truro, NS) was fourth with a throw of 12.79m. Teammate Bradley Wood (Nassau, Bahamas) was fifth at 12.49m. In the field of 11 throwers, Jhalil Lindo (Pickering, ON) was eighth with an 11.44m showing, while Ryan Kennedy (Antigonish, NS) was tenth at 10.20m.

Wood and Ryan Kennedy also competed in the 15.88kg weight throw. Wood was fourth overall with a 12.97m throw, with Kennedy placing sixth at 11.88m.
